When I was first introduced to this place called Arizona last July, I thought,"Bleh, who could ever live in a place such as this." I had absolutely made up my mind that I hated it, did not want to get to know it better, and that I was just going to have to merely tolerate being here for the next 4 years.
This sentiment continued through the months of August, September, October, November and December.
Then came January, and I started having a funny feeling. I caught myself thinking, "Arizona might not be that bad." Alarm bells started going off in my head, "What! 'not that bad'?! You want nothing to do with this place remember?!" "Oh yeah, your right, I remember now."
But try as I may I couldn't shake that funny feeling I was having. The days grew warmer, but not too warm, and the sky was bluer and bluer everyday. I started to notice things about Arizona that I had never noticed before.
Then one morning,around Jan 16 I believe, I woke up, walked out my front door, and realized something;
I was in Love.
Desperately Infatuated.
Obsessed with everything from lizard tounge cacti, great mountain biking trails, The Pita Jungle, long road rides on the Arizona Canal, Foothills Library, Palm Trees, swimming in outdoor pools, january gardens, running at thunderbird park, the wildlife zoo, right down to those darn teddy bear cholla's.
In six months time I'm sure I will be hating Arizona again.
Then give it some more time and I'll take it back, and I'll be even more in love.
Then I'll hate it, then I'll love it, hate, love, hate, love.
Just like a Teenage Romance.
